My wife and I were so happy to be here and so sad to leave. The villa is perfect for one or two couples, providing privacy, beautiful views of the green hills and Caribbean Sea, spacious rooms, and plenty of thoughtful extras. Snorkeling? Tennis? Items for the beach? They kindly provided everything you would need to enjoy these activities and more. And the villa was very clean and appointed with quality furnishings. Thanks for a great week! We're just back from an 8-night trip to our home away from home, St. Croix, and we're already thinking about the next one! One Love Villa was beyond perfect and gave us a great feel for living on island. The condo was extremely clean, well-maintained and looked just like the pictures online. All too often that's NOT the case, so we appreciated walking into exactly what we were expecting. The Villa Madeleine condo complex is beautifully landscaped with lovely walkways surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, and there are geckos aplenty to greet you! The view from the private balcony is simply stunning, and having a pool to plunge into early in the morning and after the heat of the day made this trip even more enjoyable than our last few. We shopped several times at the conveniently located Seaside Market & Deli, and even gave the grill a whirl one night with some tasty steaks. You can't beat cooking with the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea as a backdrop! There are games and puzzles in the villa, and we whiled away some time playing Scrabble at the outdoor table while listening to the nearly constant breezes drift through the palm fronds. St. Croix Rent-a-Villa, and particularly Anne who helped us with the rental, were fantastic. Very responsive, friendly and great to work with. The whole process could not have been easier! During our stay, we happily visited our favorite culinary haunts, Harvey's (tamarind juice, oh how we love you), Rhythms at Rainbow Beach (killer mahi bites and seaside location), Rowdy Joe's (find your favorite "Joe" on the wall - Joe Flacco for us!) and Montpellier Domino Club (delicious MammaWanna's in a rainforest setting). We added a few more to the "favorites" list in Savant (lovely courtyard seating), Galangal (mouthwatering Thai dishes) and Blue Water Terrace (dining with a view, and located right down the road from One Love Villa. I could go on and on describing all of the great experiences we had, but I'll leave it to future visitors to discover their own island happiness! We are deeply in love with the island of St. Croix and, after staying in the Villa Madeleine complex, we're dreaming of the day that we can call one of these villas home.
