We were so happy and comfortable at Calypso Sol. The pool was used more than we ever expected, and the privacy was heavenly! The beds were delightfully comfortable and the fans were attractive and quiet. Great place with friendly people. The staff were helpful and great to deal with. Thanks, again, for all your help. It was truly a hard place to leave!

We have visited this location 6 times and never been disappointed with our choice. The views are outstanding, the villas are excellently equipped and the staff from booking to exiting could not be better to work with. They are attentive to all of our needs and very helpful with local sites and attractions.  We will be back, no doubt. Thanks to Anne and Charles for their friendship and support on all of our trips. We stayed 9 days this trip and it still wasn’t long enough to get in all of the places to see and eat. Excellent stay!

Comfortable and Breathtaking…The Villa Madeleine team working with Anne made booking and arrival stress free which started our St Croix trip off wonderfully. The villa was well appointed with pleasant decor, comfy bed, equipped kitchen and delightful pool and patio. Calypso Sol faces north and sits high on a hill so you have nice breezes and a beautiful view of Buck Island and the Caribbean Sea. The location is near great restaurants (Blue Water Terrace and Duggan’s Reef), secluded hike-in beach (Isaac Bay). A great home-base from which to explore all parts of the island or to relax and grill on the patio while enjoying the view.

We had a fabulous trip to St Croix which included a wonderful stay at Villa Madeleine. Our accommodation totally met our needs. We enjoyed the wonderful view from our outdoor living area with pool overlooking Buck Island. Our master bedroom and ensuite was beautiful and generous in size. Kitchen was fully appointed with everything you might need. Unit had plenty of beach chairs for our use. You don't need to bring anything with you when you stay here. Location was great and made easy access to anywhere we wanted to go. Situated at east end of island and nice and quiet. Will stay again.

Well appointed villa with great views of Buck Island! My sister and I recently spent a week at Calypso Sol and the villa is in a really great location. We felt perfectly safe in the quiet east end. The best restaurants we found were so close! Duggans Reef, TLC Kitchen, Blue Water Terrace, Goat Soup and Whiskey.....all very close to this villa, and so many great beaches too. Each morning we went the quarter mile down the hill from the villa to have coffee at the beach across the road. Our villa had a sparkling clean pool, beautiful view, and the host has thought of everything. From laundry detergent to well placed hooks for damp towels and bathing suits, this villa has your comfort in mind. We don't hesitate to recommend this villa. Even though it is in a group of over 40 villas, the unit felt very private. It’s a gem!

A piece of "paradise”. Our stay at this condo was amazing. Located on the east end of the island, it's elevation offers an unobstructed view of the sea and Buck Island. Just a short distance down the road is Duggan's Reef, one of the best restaurants on the island. The condo's equipped with every amenity the owners could think of to make your stay as comfortable as home. Two bedrooms and baths with comfortable beds, swimming pool just steps away, lounge chairs and table offer you a chance to unwind from a busy sightseeing day. Anne the manager, is there to make any issues that may arise disappear quickly. She also helped us make rental car arrangements and answered other critical questions ... She is great!

Absolutely wonderful! Calypso Sol is exactly as advertised. We loved the pool and outdoor space as well as the breezes going through the villa. The community is very quiet and grounds are well maintained. Can't wait to schedule our next trip!

A Piece of Paradise! We arrived in St. Croix, and after a short drive (about 30 min.) found ourselves at Villa Madeliene, and tucked away in this island development is Calypso Sol. Overlooking Teague Bay, the place is truly a piece of paradise. As we walked into the unit, we found a very spacious living room with comfortable couches and a wonderful recliner for those who need a power nap after a day at the beach. A compact but very functional kitchen equipped with all the conveniences needed for a meal, make living in a breeze. The main house offers a large bedroom with bath and an open tiled shower. Walking through a set of double doors, we are greeted with an unobstructed view of the ocean and off in the distance Buck Island, a national park. Our guest bedroom was off the main quarters, but offered a very comfortable king bed and open shower, making it very pleasurable and restful. Separating the main quarters from our secondary living quarters is a large partially covered patio, hosting a fabulous swimming pool. This area is perfect for relaxing, lounging around, and working on a suntan. Both the main and secondary quarters are equipped with air-conditioning, and while it may be necessary during the day, at night, we opened the shutters on the screened windows, and found the cooling effect of the trade winds very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything one might need for a relaxing stay at Calypso Sol. We met Elvin, the pool maintenance man, who gave me some insight regarding where the best fishing spots were and great advice on how to be successful. It was fun just visiting with him to get a feel for the island’s culture and recommendations of the more popular restaurants. The island offers some amazing food, and our favorite would be Duggan’s Reef (at the bottom of the hill from Calypso) and the whisky lobster. We can’t wait until our next visit!!!

The Perfect St. Croix Villa... Calypso Sol is the perfect villa for a vacation on St. Croix. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. The villa has several amenities including a well-equipped kitchen, sliding screen doors, beach chairs, beach towels and even snorkeling equipment, which was very helpful and appreciated. It is incredible to have a private pool right off the living room and the two bedrooms which my kids, grandchildren, and I loved. The view of the Caribbean Sea and Buck Island is amazing. Calypso Sol is close to many restaurants and beaches. The villa staff and Villa Madeleine reservations manager were all extremely accommodating. We would definitely book again.

Perfect in so many ways! Our stay at Calypso Sol was wonderful! The owners thought of everything to make our stay perfect! From the nice updates in kitchen and baths, comfortable beds, bedding, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, 2 blue tooth speakers, beach chairs, coolers, extra beach towels, snorkel gear, terrace furniture, the list goes on and on! Anne, the property manager is great to work with and was very helpful as it was clear she loves St Croix and the villas. Elvin, pool maintenance was fun to chat with while we were at the villa (they come once per week). Macho (spelling?) from the security guard hut was very helpful with questions we had about area and complex) and Charles stopped by to introduce himself in case we had any maintenance issues during our stay. The views to Buck island are amazing from the villa! All exterior doors have retractable screen doors and we never used the air conditioners in living area or bedrooms. This unit was tucked away within Villa Madeliene and it was a very pleasant short walk to villa. It felt like you were walking through a botanical garden to the villa and while taking a morning walk! When we were at the villa we spent most of our time lounging on the terrace in the comfortable chaises and chairs, dangling our feet in the pool, swimming or floating on a raft. Writing this makes me want to return! Ofcourse, we did not spend all our time at the villa, although our 79 year old father enjoyed hanging back a time or two while relaxing with a view. We visited some local restaurants and always had a great meal. Duggans with exceptional service and meal while listening to the waves. Cheeseburgers was a great place to go to our first night after a long day of traveling - good food, wonderful music which was a nice welcome to the island. We picked up pizza one night from Castaways and while waiting we listened to great music... and went back another night for bingo. Super fun! Divi Carribean BBQ night was fun seeing the Mocko Jumbie and local dance group. Went back to their beach for snorkeling. Rainbow beach and beach bar... can't say enough about this terrific beach, bar and food. Eat at Cane Bay, a favorite every time we have been to the island... a must stop for us, Popped into Christiansted for shopping and restaurants. Took our family to Buck Island with Blackbeard tour and had a good snorkeling experience. Walking along the beach on Buck Island we saw sea turtles in the water and Dolphins by boat. Took the family to Point Udal for pictures. We were there a week and did not have time to do everything we wanted to do! This was our 4th time visiting St Croix...we will be back! And, the villa will be top on our place to stay or recommend to others! Thank you for sharing your villa with us!

Anne, Thank you so much for all your assistance in the planning of our recent visit to St Croix. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Calypso Sol, we loved the location and it had everything (and more) that we could want or need for our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this villa for anyone considering a trip to the island. It was so helpful having Charles meet us at the airport & leading the way to the villa. It would have been a real challenge trying to find our way after dark! The car rental was good, the jeep a late model in great condition. We first visited St Croix approximately 40 years ago, our last visit was about 20 years ago. After this visit I know it won’t be so long between visits! Thank you,
