Situated at the edge of the Caribbean, Sea View Play was built in the year 2000 as a private tropical retreat by the owners of a famed Resort and Spa. This magnificent Vacation Villa compound has over 5,000 square feet of living space to unwind and relax.  

Sea View Play is designed differently from most other houses. Being one of the larger houses on St. Croix, Sea View Play is configured into an East and West Wing (each with separate kitchen facilities and living areas) so that in that each guest can spread out and have total privacy when they want it. In addition to the main house, there is also a private cottage (with its own Master Bedroom, Living Room, Kitchen, bathroom and washer/dryer) for larger groups and/or honeymooners.

Enter the Villa through the double Mahogany doors to the Atrium filled with beautiful plantings and look through the Great Room to a sweeping view of the Caribbean Sea.

The Great Room is the pride of the house with high vaulted ceilings in the old plantation tradition covers the huge common space.  As you gaze out of every window and door, the stunning views and close proximity of the magnificent Caribbean Sea will mesmorize you. 

Off the great room a brand new fresh water pool with deck and outdoor bar area has just been added. The oceanfront deck has a pergola to protect you from the sun, a bar for you to relax, and an outdoor kitchen to make wonderful. breakfasts, lunches, and romantic dinners under the stars. For those who enjoy cooking, the outdoor kitchen is complete with plenty of counter space, an outdoor drop-in barbecue, sink, and refrigerator.

From the Great Room, you walk outside and notice that the entire perimeter of the Villa consists of a veranda that is easily accessible from every room.  

The veranda is the perfect venue for outdoor dining or simply a place to gather at dusk to watch the sun sink spectacularly into the sea.  The veranda is just the perfect spot for ‘limein’, the Crucian word for “not doing much of anything at all”.

This gated and private 5 bedroom Villa sleeps up to 12 guests. Each of the 5 bedrooms has its own private bathroom plus magnificent views of the Caribbean.

2 Kitchens to fully serve and enjoy your home "down time" for a large group.

On the lower level and at the water’s edge is a large deck that borders our beautiful natural tidal swimming pool. The deck has built in seating as well as a large table for dining directly in front of the ocean.

 

Enjoy moonlight swims in your own private tidal pool that barely separates you from the Caribbean Sea. Every seventh wave refills the pool with fresh water and maybe a small tropical fish. Watch sunsets, sunrises, and rainbows from any room in the house, on the veranda, or in either of the pools.

Sea View Play is situated on 1.3 acres of beautiful grounds covered with Pink and Red Bougainvillea, Palm Trees and numerous tropical plants throughout the grounds. The lush grounds are great places to stroll or gather for a special celebration. 

Sea View Play has been host to many special occasions and is the perfect place for special events such as Family Gatherings, Special Birthdays, Business Meetings, Corporate Retreats, Romantic getaways... and especially WEDDINGS!

FREE GOLF! An Amazing Perk For Those Guests Who like to Play Golf
Less than 10 minutes from the Villa is the beautiful Carambola Golf Club, a ‘Robert Trent Jones’ designed course. All Guests of Sea View Play are entitled to play golf daily for free as often as they like.  In addition to Golf, our guests are also free to use all of the facilities of the Golf Club, including tennis courts, swimming pools and clubhouse restaurant. The Villa is the only one on St Croix that can boast this amenity.  For those who do play Golf, with the regular green fees ranging between $100-$130 per person, this can result in savings of hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Get your golf group together and enjoy FREE GOLF as well as the wonderful amenities of Sea View Play!

For Those Who Love to Scuba Dive and Snorkel
Not five hundred feet from the veranda lies one of the Caribbean’s unique wonders, the Cane Bay Wall. The Wall is the famed destination of divers from all over the world.  Less than a quarter of a mile from shore, the sea plunges to a depth of a thousand feet or more. The Wall offers novice and professional scuba divers and snorkelers one of the world’s most thrilling experiences.
NOTE:Scuba diving is extremely easy from the Villa.  You have two options for shore diving, depending on the time of year and the activity of the ocean.  If the weather cooperates and the ocean is calm, you can make a sandy beach entry about 400 feet from the Villa. The reef is approximately 15 minutes of swimming from the shore.
If the ocean is not calm enough, one of the most beautiful dive sites in the Caribbean is located about 1/4 mile from Sea View Play.  Cane Bay is fairly protected, so the conditions are usually great. If you bring your own gear, simply present your dive card and they will rent you tanks and weights at a minimal daily fee.
